Skin Cancer

Skin cancer is the most common type of cancer in the United States, and the incidence rate is increasing faster than any other form of cancer. Although skin cancer can be found on any part of the body, 80 percent of skin cancers appear on the face, head, or neck. This can be both dangerous and disfiguring. If you notice an unusual growth, contact Dr. J. Gregory Kjar. Dr. Kjar can surgically remove the growth in such a way that maintains the most appealing aesthetic. Oral Clefts — Cleft Lips, Palates

Clefts occur in the oral region and often involve the lip, the roof of the mouth (the hard palate), or the soft tissue in the back of the mouth (soft palate). Thanks to numerous medical advancements, there are effective treatments for oral clefting. Reconstructive surgery can repair cleft lips and palates, and in severe cases, plastic surgery can address specific aesthetic concerns.

Carpal Tunnel

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a common medical condition in which the median nerve is compressed and damaged in the wrist. About 10 percent of the adult population will develop carpal tunnel. Dr. Kjar can provide relief for carpal tunnel patients. Surgery is simple and generally very effective. Pain relief is immediate, and tingling is often relieved. Some numbness is common but should improve with time. Carpal tunnel surgery is generally a 15 minute outpatient procedure that involves the cutting of the transverse carpal ligament.
