About Dr. Kjar
Dr. Kjar’s distinguished 25-year career has been defined by his passion for the people around him. As a board-certified surgeon, his expertise has helped hundreds of patients enjoy their full potential. He has also played a crucial role in the Operation Smile organization, co-founding and volunteering countless hours of time to help repair cleft lips and palates for children and young adults locally and around the world.
Dr. Kjar received his medical training at the University of Utah, as well as at Southeast Michigan’s Providence, Mt. Carmel and Sinai Hospitals. After residency, he completed a fellowship in craniofacial and plastic surgery with Dr. Ian Jackson at the revered Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. He received his board certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery in 1984 and holds privileges at Davis Medical Center, Lakeview Hospital, LDS Hospital, and Mountain West Medical Center.
When not in surgery, Dr. Kjar spends time with his wife Sue, his five children and fifteen grandchildren.

Mallory Stahl – Office Manager
Mallory has been in the industry for 6 years and has loved every minute of it! She graduated from Skin Science with Honors as a Licensed Master Esthetician. Soon after school, she opened and started Candessa Surgical and Laser Esthetics to augment Dr. Kjar’s already booming practice. She developed the Recovery Packages that are apart of every surgery, created the menu of treatments, and decided on the medical grade products that are offered. Over the years, she has taught many courses on skin care and wellness and loves to provide a reputable source for learning.
Along with her Esthetic license, she received additional training in Lymphatic Drainage Massage: The Dr. Vodder Method. Her extensive training was under the apprentice to Dr. Vodder, Anneli M. Johnson. This method has been imperative to the recovery of all of our surgical patients and only a select few have been trained in this modality.
She has spent the last 5 years managing and nurturing the medical spa. Mallory is passionate about the plastic surgery field, medical grade skin care, educating, and overall wellness – inside and out. She loves to work with patients/clients and hopes to provide you with a positive & pleasant visit to our office.
Rebekah Rice – Medical Assistant
Rebekah is Dr.Kjar’s medical assistant. She helps him with all of his in office procedures. When you come for your appointment, she will take you back to your room and get you ready to see Dr.Kjar. She can help answer any of your questions. She will make you feel very comfortable and make sure that you have the best experience possible in our office. For breast augmentation patients, she will help you with all of your sizing. She will also give you all of your pre and post op instructions for surgery. If you have medical questions, Rebekah is happy to answer them. Rebekah is very talented and graduated from Eagle Gate College with her Medical Assisting Degree in 2006. She has worked in Nephrology, OB/GYN and now plastic surgery.
Paula Gardner – Patient Coordinator
Paula is a familiar face to most all of our clients! She has been working in Dr.Kjar’s office for over 14 years and has been a great friend to most of our patients. If you don’t see Paula at the front desk to greet you, she will meet with you before you leave the office. Paula will help you book your appointments and your surgery. She can help assist you in getting patient financing and will answer any of your questions or concerns that you may have.
Marci Beck – Patient Coordinator
Marci is usually the smiling face that will greet you at the front desk or talk with you on the phone. Marci will check you in, help schedule your future appointments and also can book your surgery. Marci will help you with your patient financing, if needed, along with helping you with things like logging your Brilliant Distinction points.
